Your data and privacy

Stored on your device

The browser locally stores marked lessons, favourites, notes, goals, quiz results, preferences and Kasa entries. A technical page cache supports offline reading. There is no central learning account or synchronisation between devices. Other users of the same browser may be able to see local information.

Names and certificates

A certificate name is used only to build a file on the device by this function. The downloaded file contains the name, course, date and score; protect it as a personal document.

Chat and search

The automatic guide uses predefined answers. Messages remain in page memory during use and are not sent to a live adviser or recorded by the chat in a database. Catalogue and download searches run on the device. Do not enter secret codes or sensitive private information.

Hosting and external services

Displaying the website involves communication with hosting infrastructure, which may process technical connection information such as IP address and request data under its terms. Local storage does not mean that no technical data travels over the Internet. External providers apply their own policies. Speech features, where available, may depend on your browser or device provider.

Retention, backups and deletion

Local data remains while the browser keeps it, or until it is removed; the browser may also clear it automatically. No unverified hosting-log retention period is asserted. Before clearing site data, export Kasa and notes if needed. Browser site-data removal also removes local progress and the offline cache, but not files already downloaded, which must be managed separately.

Information still to be completed

The editor’s legal identity and an operational contact for privacy requests must still be added. The site does not claim regulatory approval or to have completed a data-authority filing. See the Terms of use for the current editor-information limitation.

Email registration for free access

Your email, language, registration date and acknowledgement are kept in Elimu’s private register. A random secure HttpOnly access cookie lasts 30 days in this browser. Email ownership is not confirmed and no secured personal account is created. Registration alone does not subscribe you to advertising.

Records inactive for over twelve months are removed during the next automatic maintenance triggered by registration or register access. Anti-abuse limits use only a temporary network-address fingerprint. No financial code is requested.

You can delete the registration associated with the current cookie from the registration page. This does not remove downloaded files or local Kasa records. The editor’s legal identity and contact still need to be supplied.

Free accounts and paid access

The new account flow uses a code emailed to you. An account is created or retrieved only after a correct code. Codes expire after ten minutes, have limited attempts and are stored in a protected form. Sign-in sessions last at most thirty days.

The account stores your email, language, relevant dates, sessions and rights attached to confirmed payments. Choosing a pack is not proof of payment. The editor may grant access after checking an external transaction; that action does not transfer money.

Email-code delivery still needs a provider connection. Until configured, the earlier provisional email registration remains available and is not a verified account. The site does not claim a code was sent without a delivery service.

Notes and Kasa records stay local. After verified sign-in they are separated by account within the browser; this does not replace device security. Existing data may be copied voluntarily without deletion. Advertising requires separate agreement.

Contact form data

We store the name, declared email address, subject, message, language, submission time and privacy-notice version to handle your request. Email addresses are not verified by the contact form. Only the authorised editor can consult messages. A network fingerprint limits abusive submissions; it does not appear in the message inbox. Messages are retained for up to 180 days and purged on a new submission or inbox consultation. No advertising opt-in or automatic email acknowledgement is created. Do not send sensitive documents. To ask about your data, use the form and identify the request reference; additional verification may be needed.

Page-view statistics

We count page views by day and approximate country and city when provided by the network. These aggregate statistics do not contain IP addresses, email addresses or individual identifiers. Location can be unavailable or imprecise.
